The risk level determines how much information can be provided to the community.
There are also three designations that may be assigned to a sex offender: sexual predator, sexually violent offender, or predicate sex offender.

Information about Level 2 and Level 3 offenders can be obtained by checking the DCJS website, which includes a search for Level 2 and Level 3 sex offenders.
By law, DCJS cannot list Level 1 offenders on its website.
Since then, a number of changes have been made to the original statute.

When calling the toll-free number, you will have to provide the offender's name, and one of four identifiers (either an exact address, date of birth, social security number or driver's license number).
